For once

For once, I think it's ok to be frustrated over a stupid pot of plant. A really stupid pot of plant.

Still life makes me want to strangle someone.
So when I'm observing and drawing still life, stay five feet away from me.

Painting, ten feet away from me.

Cross-stitching, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!

Oh yeah, Al, don't blacken my table.

Exams are over!

It's such a relief that exams are over.

But then, the test paper always has to come back...
And the results are quite bad especially Geography. So, right now I'm here wondering what will happen to Sejarah, KH, English and BM. To be honest, this exam was very unpleasant. I fell sick on the day we were suppose to sit for the KH paper. When I woke up that morning, I had this nauseous feeling. I didn't bother and sat down for breakfast but as soon as I finished, I started throwing up. Felt really dizzy and disorientated.
Hoping it will go away, I stepped into the car and ended up vomitting again. My mum told me I shouldn't go to school but I told her I had to as I already studied. I went to school late after that to see the doctor. Wasn't feeling any better. The doctor prescribed me some antibiotics and anti-vomitting but he didn't tell me what exactly caused the condition.
When I came back from exam, I kept wondering what it was. Maybe it was the rota virus or the irritable bowel syndrome. Till today, I'm still having bad stomachaches in the morning.

Sahara Desert + Sunday Market

The title is quite confusing but it was the first thing it popped into my head during duty today.

The sun is scorching hot and directly glaring into my eyes. Multifocal glasses so the reflection is blinding my sight. Squinting doesn't help much either. To walk under the shade is like finally finding a mirage. That's why it is called the Sahara Desert.

Then, I thought about tomorrow and it wasn't just going to be Sahara Desert. It was much more horrifying. No joke here.

It is going to be Sahara Desert and Sunday Market.

Equation=
Pre-sale equals to selling stuff which equals to shouting which also equals to attracting customers. More people come so, more hotlah. Just waiting to see how the weather is. If it's a cloudy and windy day, I consider myself pretty lucky. But if otherwise.

When I go back to class, I will sit directly underneath the fan cashing away.

4. Favourite colour?

A pop culture term to generalize all of the environmentally beneficial and sustainable means of mitigating the impact of human industrial development and the damage of previous degradation of the environment.

"Green" is also used to describe anyone or anything supporting, advocating, or in activism for the outlined principles. Note: That "green" and "environmentally friendly" are interchangeable in adjective placement, both words mean the same thing. Thus something can not be green without being environmentally friendly.
Solar, wind, and hydroelectric power are considered to be green energy technologies. Al Gore is considered to be a green advocate.

Love Al Gore!

5. Birthplace?
- Kuching
The capital of Sarawak, Kuching is is the 4th largest urban area in Malaysia and with probably the best quality of life. It is a beautiful, green, laid-back city with non racist people (comprised of mostly Chinese, then Malays and Dayaks)- which is a like far-away dream in most parts of Malaysia. Most only 'learnt how to become' racist after staying for some time in West Malaysia. Intermarriage especially among the Chinese and Dayaks are common. Kuching has the best of both worlds - the facilities of a modern city and the strong community ties of a small town. In short, Kuching is a wonderful place to live in but a mindnumbingly boring place for tourists.

Contrary to what quite a lot of West Malaysians think, Kuching people are not uneducated and 'ulu'. The fact is most Kuchingites can speak better English then them. Kuching also ranks as the no. 2 highest average household income. Most Kuchingites have the same hobby - eating. This is why there are so many kopitiams over here. Our most famous foods are the kolo mee, laksa Sarawak, kacangma and midin belacan. Kuching is developing at a very pace rapid pace and this is not neccesarily a good thing. Rising crime, traffic jams, several new malls, and more coming soon might turn Kuching into another unlivable metropolis. Currently however, crime and traffic are still much better than in other large cities in Malaysia. Noooo.. Kuching, you're beautiful just the way you are! Don't grow up too fast! T_T

Kuchingite driving around: Haiyo why Kuching so boring one no place to go one? All the same things nia. Another Kuchingite: Nevermind la. Can go eat again lor.

Dont't grow to fast!

3rd of Chinese New Year

The Third Day of New Year.
My family and I got dressed to go out for breakfast but unfortunately, there were no Chinese kopitiams or cafes open. In the end, we ended up in Bombay Masala *I hope I spelled it right*, a place selling Indian-Muslim cuisine. I have been eating too much curry as the Chinese don't open their shops during the few first days of New Year but the Malays and Indians do.
So what do Malays and Indians eat?
Usually hot, spicy food
That means I have to bear with it. Curry tastes good when you eat it in normal portions, not consumed three to six times a day. After finishing the not-very-tasty roti canai, we headed home. Time for lunch with Uncle and Aunty Yap at noon. Vegetarian.
Here begins "the starting to rush" part. In the busy kitchen with my mother, suddenly somebody rang and called me. It was Brina. There was a lot of giggling behind and laughing though which sounded rather fishy. She asked me if they could come over now as they saw a car outside so I said it was alright. I rushed to the kitchen to cut the cakes as actually, I didn't think anybody was coming. 5 minutes later, somebody rings the doorbell. I have to run out again and I saw.... guess who? Clarissa, Amy, Evelyn, Audrey, Chloe and Brina. It was such a surprise
Luckily, the cakes were already cut and placed in the living room. We chatted and ate keropok plus other tidbits until they had to leave. Then, Aunt Lucy came with her daughter, which wasn't too bad considering only a few people came. I knew some more unexpected people were bound to show up. My neighbour came with her kids then tiba-tiba, a whole group of people who were her relatives came over, which meant rushing in and out again. At the end of it, I was so exhausted and tired. But I bet my mother had it tougher.
During late evening, Sharon and Martha came. We watched American Idol! and ate keropok also. The keropok very laku. As usual, there were always some weirdos, awkward singing, mental breakdowns and some very talented people throughout the show. They had to leave at the ending of the show though as Sharon's parents were already waiting outside.
Time to bunk into bed.
