The Many Phases of Spelling Buzz...

English is driving me insane. So why you may ask?

I have a Spelling Bee this Friday. Weird, huh?

Phase One

For starters, how do you pronounce rendezvous and spell it right without a proper knowledge of the silent 'z' and 'ous' for the first time.

Then, there's the many other unexplored words with the silent e's that are barely noticable unless you look it up in the dictionary for example anaesthetic and haemorrhage.

Phase Two

Learning to spell reflexively and not writing it down on a piece of paper or hand. Long, winding words such as irresistible, commemorate and innumerable are hard to be spelled out in your head and ensuring a good flow of words.
Phase 3

Some words that I barely even know exists.

archipelago
gastro-entiritis
electroconvulsive therapy
forsythia
azalea
Zeitgeist
myxomatisis
embryonic

And so much more ...

I give up

But there's definitely one word I can spell and not screw up...

That is the BEE!
